When I still didn't know where I was going to college, I consulted the Oracle in a fit of twisted anxiety. I threw hexagram ten, , "Treading," which reads:
Treading upon the tail of the tiger.
It does not bite the man. Success.
At the time, I didn't know what to make of it. Did it mean that I would tread upon the tails of the Ivies and be spared the bite of rejection? Or was the image of the tiger referring more broadly to the college admissions process in general? and that, no matter where I go, I will be spared the bite of having chosen the wrong institution? Now it is clear.

I don't know why I even applied to the Ivies, places like Harvard or Yale. I don't feel the need to rage against their elitism or their pretension. No hard feelings. I feel so wonderful about going to Madison now, they can shove their rejection letters up their asses. It's just wonderful! The whole world is waiting for me here, right under my nose this whole time! No stress, no rage, no angst. Just freedom -- simple, true, beautiful freedom, be it from parental meddling or debt or intellectual isolation. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

...Well, okay, maybe Berkeley ;)
